Course theoretical Manual – Workbook 8
Professional Practitioner and Facilitator
has competency details, training and assessment details for all the course.
And how to work to the final level of experience in client contact, leading to offering professional breathwork with full trust in the process and in yourself as a practitioner.
The meaning of Process here is integration of being more free-to-act well in daily life for oneself, and supporting others at the professional level. Use of intention setting in daily life as well as in breathwork sessions is a feature

Theoretical and personal experience – Practitioner and Facilitator Training
Outcomes in detail

Course theoretical Workbooks 1 to 3
Pre Professional training

The training first deals with personal breathwork experience skills required to use Breathwork Mastery techniques for releasing and resolving an individuals physical, mental, emotional or psycho-spiritual blocks to wellness and intentional living and supporting others. Part of this training is to become comfortable with the process of being able to release or resolve at a pace that integrates into daily life. This means feeling and being more free to act instead of react. From the compassion we get for ourselves during this breathwork process comes the compassion for the process of others. Our life becomes even more authentic and integrated in this training.

The completion of the general interest, pre-professional Breathwork Mastery course training allows the participant to apply Breathwork mastery for self use and leads to transferring these skills to certification as a Breathwork Mastery practitioner and facilitator.

From the pre-professional training, this support role gives enough personal experience in breathwork and the skills and knowledge to support others who have completed 12 Breathwork Mastery sessions. This may be exchanging breathwork sessions by sharing whatever you have integrated while supporting the other in a self generated session – pre professional training.

Another application of skills is to support others from any area of life who are already in highly activated or irrational states of mind or emotion as indicated by their breathing. That is any person who is undergoing a spontaneous clearing or regression sometimes called a panic attack, or irrational fears and anxiety or the emotional pain sometimes called depression. Participants become trained in how much unresolved past events and trauma can be carried as subconscious blocks that create reactions when an associated event happens in present time.

As the first 12 sessions begin to integrate – the participants apply their skills for personal use as well as they take part in more personal breathwork sessions. They progress in synergising theory and experience towards working with others as a RBM Practitoner and Facilitator.

While participants are still in training, they provide support to others during breath sessions or groups that is –

  • minimum intervention
  • listening orientated, client centred support
  • agenda free approach
  • use of intention in combination with feeling body sensations in sessions

Course theoretical workbooks 4 to 8
Professional practitioner training focus deals with working effectively within a Breathwork Mastery (RBM) framework, according to RBM principles and experience based concepts. It provides the ethical and contextual framework for establishing a professional practice to industry standards, within codes of practice determined by the industry and in accordance with all relevant legislative requirements for personal and professional conduct.
Participants are trained in competencies required to use specific Breathwork Mastery clearing and processing skills to provide professional support to clients/participants in all stages and states of process of their personal/spiritual development.

In depth and specific
Training is specific in all aspects of creating a practice. Part of this training is to know and understand something about many many types of breathwork both ancient and modern and also ancient and modern esoteric approaches and psychology and psychiatric treatments in relationship to Breathwork Mastery practitioner approach and delivery. We cover the issues of trauma release, emotion based depression, reactive states sometime called panic attacks and anxiety associated with breath holding which may a a suppression of trauma from a very early circumstance that was real and has been forgotten.

There are broadly two approaches for trained breathworkers
1 – Breathworker as guide to the clients breathing patterns and using conscious breathing of different varieties during the session. The guidance can include mouth or nose breathing, fast or slow and more.
2 – Breathworker as support professional to clients in identifying their personal intentions, process in life to date and then creating and being mindful of their breathing patterns during the session.
Support is for clients to direct themselves to longer than normal conscious breathing using the three parts of the breathing mechanism and starting with nasal breathing and- effortless exhaling. This is the Breathwork Mastery Practitioner and Facilitator approach

Broadly speaking again there are two main approaches to breathwork
Sympathetic activation – focus instructions for breathing ?
With sympathetic activating breathwork the system is bought into pressure and stress by adding conscious breathing with some pressure and force and sometimes speed – the breathing becomes short. It is a panic style breathing – hyperventilating.
It could be called “winding up” the system until pycho-emotional blocks become a strong physical sensation. The pain leads to emotional expression often with sound and movement. The feeling of release follows which benefits the body.
The instructions are usually along the lines of “breathing harder and faster than normal”. This approach can create clients going outside their comfort zone emotionally and in mild to extreme discomfort with the physical sensations of the spasms and cramps.

It can also be called emotional release focused breathing – and that does happen when the cramping and spasms become intense.

Parasympathetic activation focus instructions for breathing ?
– Breathwork Mastery focus
With parasympathetic activating breathwork the instructions for conscious breathing that is “longer than normal breathing” so that inhale meets exhale and exhale meets inhale and using the full navel chest and upper chest movement – if possible.
It could be called “unwinding” the system until pycho-emotional blocks drop out as physical sensations.

This approach can create clients going into, and even beyond their previous experiences of peace or habitual comfort into profound relaxation. It is definitely an authentic integrated and valid pathway which may be surprising as it is drama free.
The process produces an embodiment of new reference points for being comfortable and more authentically relaxed and self trusting – no matter what is happening. However sometimes there is also an emotional release or cellular body memory emerging so past experiences can be faced as being in the way of personal intentions which leads to resolution.

Time frame for the Practitioner training?
Most participants complete the face to face and most of the practical component within eighteen months, although it is possible to complete much sooner. The course is experiential and unusual because the participant becomes a practitioner and facilitator from participating while experiencing the theory aspects first hand. The agreement is to complete within 2 years or renegotiate with a trainer to take you to completion.

Where is the training?

Personal session component is mostly face to face Byron Bay north beachside near the Gold Coast
Theoretical training is by distance with Workbooks but can be one to one online.
Practical training is mostly generated in an area of your choice but once again some of this can be done on line

Alakh has delivered practitioner courses and training mainly from a Sydney and Byron Bay base and also overseas since 1993.
She became a professional practitioner in 1987.

The course in Australia
Please note a feature of the training is flexible delivery – self paced which means you choose the dates to suit you from the Byron Bay/Gold Coast calendar on the www.breathworkmastery.com site

The course in your chosen location? including Sydney
Training can be delivered as a joint business venture in any part of Australia or overseas under agreed terms and conditions and this has been very successful. It works with a profit share for the joint business partner who may have facilities and a network or who is intending to create connections in their area, and be in practice.

Retreat Course Training in Byron Bay, near the Gold Coast – please note terms in this information are for those who complete within two years from the first workshop.
After that it can be renegotiated with no change or according to the delivery at that time

A note about your 36 personal sessions – stage 1
These are in semi private Workshops with other self pacing participants

A special feature for Breathwork Mastery practitioner training courses has always has been that once you book a Workshop by paying 2 weeks in advance – the workshop goes ahead even if you are the only participant, although other participants may come for some of those training days
For Byron Bay/Gold Coast – choose your timing from website dates
2019 dates are listed
2020 there will be six Workshops of 7days and Weekends to choose from

for stage 2 – Distance professional theoretical training is sent to you anywhere
Self paced theoretical training means you choose when to start and pay for the Workbook material. This is usually after your first 12 personal sessions – as the training course material will relate better to your personal experiences. However it can be at any time before during or after your own sessions according to your professional work and availability to study the Workbooks.

for stage 3 – Practical and client contact training, supervision and assessment

Distance professional practitioner experiential and theoretical training is anywhere that is agreed in the terms and conditions of Unit 8 – Practical training component.
This is like Clinical training at a College or as an intern – except you undertake joint business ventures with a qualified Breathwork Mastery trainer in an area of your choice and the trainer comes to you by agreement.
This approach has been in place for Breathwork Mastery participants since 1993 and has proved to be very successful for gaining the professional skills and knowledge to have the full confidence in themselves as professional practitioners.
That is the promise of practitioner training – plus that you trust the process – ie how fast or slow and deep you yourself can clear subconscious material and therefore allow others their own self generated process as a support professional.
One of the main training objectives and outcomes is to create your income while you train and start your practice as a Breathworker in your area. This is in appropriate place for you at the time.
